listen to this theory TO START PRODUCTION ON ORIGANAL DATE
how about, still start production on previous start date. then put them aside and when you need to add PARTS THAT NEED PERFECTION JUST ADD THEM IN ., AND WONT SLOW DOWN PRODUCTION. JUST A TAUGHT ,TO HAVE THINGS READY TO GO. THIS WAY MOST OF THE CARS ARE BUILT ALLREADY.

I'd rather not have my car built and then just sitting around waiting for more parts, slowly aging.
Also, when you start production you start paying salaries. They can't afford to start paying people for an extra month of work for a slight head start. Also, we don't know why they're delaying. Could be parts, but it could be something else, like interior lighting. Who knows. |

Uhhh...do you have any idea how cars are built?
That's highly inefficient and would probably result in even worse quality since the car isn't being assembled all at once.

I've been on the line and while not have had the chance to put together stuff myself, have seen it done. There ain't no way they are ever going to build now to fix later. ^Read Fenwick's above... Quality. It won't be built until it can be built. ...and can you find a spot for 4,000 or so Camaros sitting...waiting for parts? It costs money to build. Those that are built NEED to be sold...and can't sit around waiting. |

...I think they will probably try and get most of the V6 cars built for the dealers or as many as they can during this "push back" period. Would be nice anyway.

No way I would want my Camaro sitting around outside waiting to be fixed when it's brand new. Besides, where would they put the thousands of cars while they waited? No offense, but this would be a very inefficient and costly way to do things.
