No brand on the box or on eBay. V6. Really nicely made, looks much like a K&N, but the filter is not oiled. Easy, perfect fit. I rarely get on it, but when I do now, my grandson just says Whahoooo! Don't know about real power gain, but the sound is great and the mpg is real.

Camaro...wrong forum...not. V6...wrong forum...not. Fujita comparison...wrong forum...not. By the way, what is an owner of an 01 ws6 doing trolling this forum? This is a Camaro 5 forum.

The real question is why is a Camaro V6 guy recommending BS intakes that were used in a 4 cyl solstice and a bs no nane intake from eBay when it's a vararam vs CAI?

Damn a warranty! Tune this!

BS V6? The cai works as well as any of the others, without being stupid or simply arrogant enough to over pay for a hyped brand. What are you crowing about? All you have is an SS. You should have bought a zl1 instead of settling for the middle line

Where did you get this $350 price? They are still $399 on the VR website, but the price varies by vendor.

You've already got an intake, you might as well keep what you have. They both have their own pro's and cons.

I don't know about the V6 CAI's but there's a DOCUMENTED difference in the V8 CAI's. Nothing stupid or arrogant about it. You can get a K&N CAI for $200-250 or get twice the HP for $350-400.

It's pretty bold to say someone is settling for a middle of the line SS when YOU have the bottom of the line.

Depends on how you look at it, Grasshopper. You paid for the top of he line and ended up with an also ran. I got exactly what I wanted, and had enough money left over to get a lot of other stuff. Since I don't race, I am not impressed with an SS, and chose not to spend the money on un-used power, which would have been stupid. While there are differences between everything, that difference is not enough to justify a 300 percent price difference. Been there, done that. If you choose to spend your money on a name tag, go right ahead. I, however, will laugh all the way to the bank, and end up with pretty much the same result.

Twice the HP as a K&N? Which intake is that?

So what did you end up buying with your "leftover money"? Since I got the top of the line SS/RS, I got everything I wanted. Your comment had nothing to do with getting what we want. It was saying that the SS/RS is middle of the line car. Seeing that both mine and Litle's are 2010 SS/RS models, they are both indeed top of the line vehicles in their year and every year till this one. You bought a bottom of the line car in any year. If that's what you wanted, then that's fine but it's yelling from the cheap seats when you make comments like that when you're several tiers below that. I don't race mine much, but I sure as hell like extra power to get around town and in/out of traffic. V8 power is useful in all kinds of places that don't have time clocks at the end of them. Just because someone spent whatever money on any mods is their own business. Just because you spent less on your ebay intake doesn't mean you got the deal. I just means you bought a cheap intake. Seeing that you're equating your gains on a Solstice to your Camaro shows you know very little about intake science. Yes building a great intake is a science. These guys didn't just bend a pipe and put a filter on the end of it, like your ebay intake. If you don't believe me, ask RacnJasn. He's been trying to perfect his intake for almost a year now. Getting one right for any vehicle takes time and understanding of what makes this car perform better. What may work on one vehicle may not necessarily work on another.
