Stepped her up to 110 with the wife, so she could feel, how slow it feels, at 100+.

She wasn't impressed so I said, "here, you do it". She declined.

She just don't get it....yet. Maybe at 150 ??

Finished de-badging, and de-chroming, leaving only a completely black bowtie on front with ZL1 emblem on grill. Managed to get Best of Show 80s and newer Saturday night.

Love the Gorilla lugs. Didn't get around to the ZL1 under hood decal and AAE LED reverse lights, those are the only things left in the box for me to do. With regards to AAC, i have a brand new side marker that needs to be returned as well. Their QC seems to need improvement.

I agree! I thought everything was tested before it was sent out. On mine, one of the electrical connector pins was not mounted correctly and wouldn't make contact. If I didn't have to pull the bumper for a second time I would mind, but I'm not really looking forward to that extra effort.

The bolts were purchased from the local Bolts and Nuts store. I turned the washers out on my lathe, then polished them.

you have to pull the bumper to get to the reverse light bulbs?! I thought you'd have to go thru the trunk.

Yep, you have to pull the bumper. It's not hard, only eight screws holding it on. It's just a PITA having to do it again. AAC's replacement pods are part of an entire new housing so you have to pull the bumper to get them off. If you only want to change the bulbs you might be able to do it if you have really little hands and arms, but it still wouldn't be easy.

Today I will finally hit the end of the break in period. The car went to the dealer this morning for engine and rear fluid changes. Now it's time for ultra grin!!!

I drove it super carefully to work then subjected it to take-out from McDonald's. I'm relieved to report no mess was made.

Changed the differential and transmission fluids...will try and determine the proper high performance brake fluid and change that next. BTW, did NOT do it myself. It is already 105 at 10am in my garage and the doors that face East are reading 133 on the inside! I put the ramps away until the Fall...
