Question TVS2300 set-up question(s)

After dismissing my plans on going with a n/a setup, I eventually figured out what to do (almost): FI!

The set-up is gonna look like below, target is 550-600rwhp on a 2010 LS3

- TVS2300 (SLP575 Stage1 Package)
- 3.6 Pulley
- MSD Fuel Booster (#2351)
- Kooks 1 7/8 LTs w/ cats
- Volant CAI (already installed)
- SLP LMII Axle-Back (already installed)
- Noweeds (already installed)
- Custome Tune on the above
- LPE ZR1 Twin Disc Clutch (if the stocker calls it a day...)

At a later stage I'm leaning into getting a blower cam and maybe ported heads, but that's the future...

The thing I'm completely uncertain about is the Fuel System in general, or more precisely the Injectors.

Would new injectors be required for such a set-up, as I don't want to end up screwing the engine running to lean?
Together with the MSD, what injectors should I be looking for?

Trying to stay on the "reasonable" side of budgeting, so 800$ max should be the ballpark for the MSD and some adequate injectors...

Anything else I might have forgotten on the above set-up?
Any help out there?

Thanks guys!

If u go with tvs2300 the kit comes with new larger injectors, so yes injectors need to be upgraded with any FI setup. Eventually u will also need an upgraded fuel pump as well once u do cam and heads.

We have done a couple of similar builds here but without the camshaft I think you will be in the range of 500 horsepower to the tires. As far as injectors etc goes. Your build setup should be fine for now.

Thanks so far!

Right, let's ignore the cam option for now, as this will be taken care of somewhate later

Does anyone know the specs of the injectors that come along with the SLP Stage1 package?

As far as the 3.6 pulley option is concerned, would it be necessary to upgrade the injectors? The MSD Booster will be installed right away...

500rwhp sound pretty low to me, given the pulley and LTs... do I need to be worried?

I have
TVS2300
3.6 pulley
Long tube kooks 1-7/8
Rotofab CAi
Noweeds diverters
60# inj

501rwhp on an auto. Some other shops say their dyno would only show 450-475rwhp so if that is the case the manual would range 475-525rwhp on the above setup. As for cam I say 600rwhp will be easily acheivalbe but you are probably going to want an in tank fuel supply and larger injecters at that point.

Our TVS2300 system comes with ZR1/LS9 injectors which are 52lb/hour @ 58psi 4BAR. These can obviously handle 630+ crank HP...

Thanks Jessika for chiming in

Would those 52lb/h injectors be sufficient in combination with a 3.6 pulley/MSD Fuel boost/LTs set-up or would recommend upgrading?

On the LS3 you'll be damn close to 550 rwhp. The Airraid may hold back a few. I've seen that exact same setup, put the ADM in place of the Airraid, make 560 rwhp time and time again by Jannetty Racing. Check some of his post about them from last Sept/Oct 09. That set-up will get 500 rwhp on an auto and prob 550 rwhp on the M6. Gd luck!!

My guess is that they would be just fine, but in all reality, your tuner will have to answer that one.
Since the ZR1 runs 630+ crank HP, I am sure that these injectors will support you just fine.

Looks like I'm gonna stick with those injectors for now and upgrade as soon as the cam is on the agenda. Thanks for for the support!!

What engine oil and spark plugs would you guys suggest to put in?

As far as plugs are concerned I thought about getting some NGK4177, but I'n not sure about the oil

Our recommendation is with a stock engine & stock pulley -- keep the stock plugs and use the recommended oil weight that GM suggests.
There is a lot of talk of dropping one degree on the plugs, but we do not have a recommendation on that.
That being said, I have dropped my pulley from a 3.3 (stock) to a 3.1 and am still running my stock plugs & 'stock' 5w30 mobil1

Great support here, thx!

Your recommendations would be applicable for the TVS2300 as well I'd guess, as your's is a 1900 build, right?
