Last truck I drove, the brakes wouldn't let that thing move even if it's life depended on it.

Lol....he said move it forward. I can laugh about it now, and the sales guy was very understanding as we were both shocked at what happened. Funny thing too was that we just got through talking about why dealers take down driver licenses for test drives for insurance and JIC reasons. I pulled that z out of the park and drove it around the storage lot. The salesman even asked if I wanted to take it out in traffic; I declined as I was a novice to the stick. Gotta admit though I was handling that thing pretty good for a beginner lol!!!!!!!!!

I hope I can keep a straight face if I ever bump into the guy that bought that white '14 zl.......(still laughing!!!).

I've had a dumbass attack or two. Not thinking, killed the engine. Won't hurt anything.

Mack trash truck with mack 310M transmission if its in low hole and you let clutch out quick with the brake on it will just start creeping away. They have a lot torque and that tranny has double low in it.

Learn to leave it in either first or reverse, in whichever one risks the lesser amount of damage should you unexpectedly lurch the car when starting it.

Then too, the longer it gets from the last time you drove an automatic, the less likely it is to happen at all.

Your only hope is to remove all 1LE upgrades and send them to me.

Seriously, your car is going to be fine.

Ive own the camaro for about 5 months or so and I always made sure it was on neutral. I would even wiggle it side to side making sure before id turn it off. I always thought it was bad to turn it off left it in gear. Believe me I learned my lesson and I will start getting into the habbit of making sure its gear wether it be first or reverse from now on! Thanks a lot for all the feedback its beem really helpful!

You don't want to leave it in neutral when you park it. Parking brakes do the bulk of the work to hold your car in place, but you should always put it in reverse or 1st when parked, for extra assurance.

I wish I didn't have to learn this way but I will do my best to start making it a habbit! Thanks!

You have a manual and let car wash guys drive your car ...are you crazy? I always talk to the mgr before I get in line, then I pull it up on the rails & drive it out at the end.

I actually let a local hand-wash place move my car around, but damn those guys can drive anything very well. They don't even add any gas. They just slip the clutch to get it moving.
