In preparation for my first HPDE, I changed all fluids to Royal Purple products, including Sychromesh in the trans. Let you know if I feel any difference. Not expecting much, basically did the swap to engine, trans and rear diff so I'd know what fluids were in there and for a little peace of mind....

Mine might be an isolated case, so take it with grain of salt, but back when I had a highly modified Subaru STi, Royal Purple the only engine oil I had used which completely broke down after a track day or two. Since then, I've been a bit skeptical at their fluids.

Spoke to a rep at tremec told him I have the tr 6060 transmission and he said to use mobile 1 synthetic transmission fluid and he said he heard good results with royal purple synchromesh , I asked him about amsoil and he never heard of that brand . He said all transmissions are shipped with dextron 3 from the factory

I bought some Redline D4 and I had some Royal Purple 75w90 laying around that I will use for the tranny/rear diff respectively this month.
