Appreciate the info. I will see what I can do with it as well . . . BTW, did you simply open chevy logo cut out and then add a new layer on top of it? If so, once you open the Layer dropdown menu, what did you select to add the skull?

I add the image, in this case the chevy logo, to the actual file I'm working with. I select that image so that I get the outline of it, and create a new layer. I just proceed to work in the new layer for anything I want to add. The more I want to add, the more new layers I add. The reason being so I can edit any layer/color/etc..

As for the Skull, it was merely an image added to the very last layer..Copy/paste/tweak

I wish I would have seen this thread the other day, before I made my sig. It's a good tip to make the file at double the dimensions to make it easier. I plan on re-doing my sig when I get some better pics, and I'll definitely follow this thread.

Honestly, I think you did pretty good on your current sig. The only knock is the quality of the picture of your car. Outside of that, it looks very nice. If you got a better picture of your car, I think the current one would look much better.

As for working in double/triple the size of the finished product, it was the very first thing I was taught to do

Thanks for the complements!!! PS'ing is still fairly new to me (I didn't start until after the ZL1 pics were released, now I'm hooked!).

The pic was an HDR photo, and the Camera was set for a central focus w/ a soft background. User error. Haha... I plan on getting some better pics as soon as I wax the car again (very soon).

The issue isn't the picture so much as the detail. The HDR photos look great in a large photo, but when you shrink them, they sometimes look distorted/out of focus. That's what I meant by the knock on the quality.

Still, if you are new to PS, it's a really good start.

If you want to see some more of my work....some old, some new...

Gimp is a bit harder to do it with, as I haven't used that one in a while. It can be done with it, but its a bit more of a pain.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

For all the thank yous, I appreciate it. I did this so that everyone could enjoy their own stuff, rather than have to ask!
