No - it's a long story, I explain it in my build thread.

Once you see and hold an RB rotor in your hand, you'll want them on all 4 corners. This is your life we're talking about; and possibly the lives of your passengers and maybe someone else in front of you. If the investment in RB rotors means you can stop 8 feet sooner than you otherwise would have, and that 8 feet means you DON'T hit something in front of you; add up the savings in repairs including air bags and they just easily paid for themselves.

Don't go cheap on something that's absolutely critical to your everyday safety on the road. I've got a full set with their ET500 street/performance pads and combined with stainless steel brake lines, these things will STOP YOU RIGHT NOW when you hit the brakes. They're a very worthy investment; well worth the money.

I looked at R1comcepts and they are basically the same or at most 1 lb less than factory?

Racing brake saves about 5.5lbs per front, and 6lbs per rear.

So that's about 27 pounds each - making them heavier than OEM.

Good points Doc! How long would you expect these to last under daily driving and occasional drag strip passes?

You'd probably go through two sets of brake pads before you'd need to replace them if that's all you use them for.

Yeah at least, and then you might need to replace the fronts. Unless you're road course driving these will probably last for years and years before you'd need to replace the front rotors. The backs will last even longer since they don't handle the load like the fronts do.

Cool! Thanks guys!
Doc, did you ever take your car to the drag strip just to see what it would run?

No but based on the power and weight it would probably run somewhere in the mid 11's.
