That looks great.
I think I'm going to turn my ZL1 into a ZL/28

It looks great , Mike 535 did a awesome job , love that screen type where mesh
Just incase something want to get in there It can also be done differently with strait horizontal fine lines , or using the where mesh design but in stainless steel etc , just for those (primadonas ) that do not want another car like theirs , and it's all good in my book |

Mike535...that does look good. The only way it could look better is if your car was black. JK
I looked at mine again today after driving the car around a little...I still like it but if I wanted a more finished look I would go the route you took. |

Did you noticed any difference in your temp?
|
05-11-2014, 03:44 PM | #22 |
I usually just watch my oil temp. Drove 10 miles (Long Beach, CA) to my office and it never reached 225 F which seems to be (pre-removal) what it landed on under street and highway cruising.
Until I take it to the track I don't expect any real objective data. ************************************************** ***** Regarding air reaching the radiator behind the bowtie, it stands to reason a low pressure area IS created behind the bowtie and therefore I believe some air would flow into the low pressure area and reach the radiator. Having said that, the larger the surface area ft2, the more ft3/min air will reach the radiator at any given speed ft/min. At least that's my view. Again, Ford removed the grill on the 2013/14 GT500 and GM made the flowtie...seems like it could only help. I'd be thankful with even a few degrees. |

Just found this on it; http://www.roadandtrack.com/go/news/...t-z-28-flowtie
The change is enough to shove an additional 3 cubic meters of air through the grille per minute, and that extra air dropped the engine coolant and oil temperature by a full 2 degrees Fahrenheit during track work. Meaning when not tracking the car it's probably not doing anything for engine temps. |

same on the 1LE, I hated the big gold bow tie, took the rear deck one off, blacked out the front, then just got rid of it
