Wink Waterproof keys

I discovered completely on accident that my Camaro key is waterproof. I was at the beach and had it in my pocket and went straight into the ocean with it. It was my only one so I was freaking out that I would be stranded at the beach. I was being so careful too that I didn't even bring my phone for fear that this exact thing was going to happen. Went over to the car and the beep when I pressed the unlock button was the most relieving sound I have ever heard.

Side note: Why the **** do they even put pockets in swim trunks???

Ha! I have jumped in the lake with my wallet and a pack of smokes at one point... I think the same thing: shorts can have pockets, but not swim trunks...

Yeah never understood why they have pockets.

To eliminate that problem you can wear speedos lmao.

Sent from somewhere on the road.

My key landed in my wash bucket the other week. And I didn't realize it for a minute. It hasn't skipped a beat so far.

Just FYI, I picked my car up today for the first time, and dropped the key on the ground. The key fob is covered under warranty (extended) for replacement if it does break.

Those keys are indestructible. Come hell or high water you're getting in your Camaro.

Damn I miss the beach.

Saltwater, keep a close eye on it, nothing is safe from saltwater.

I would definitely open it up and rinse it out with fresh water, then dry it thoroughly before putting it back together.

Even though the key may be waterproof...it's still not recommended that you take your ZL1 for a dip in the pool.

The key has a pass lock theft deterrent chip and the car won't start if that isn't working.
