Agree with all the points, esepcially the tires. There is simply an age when tires should be replaced regardless of wear. I think 10 years is past due.

When was the last time the oil was changed? That is key information. Even oil needs to be changed once per year regardless if the vehicle has been run even a little bit.

Otherwise just a low mileage low use vehicle which everyone likes to find in a used car or truck.

I think is has been about a year since we had the oil changed so it should be about due. We'll put some good oil in it when we get it checked out. Okay add transfer case to the list. Mike called a local place we use to get our vehicle service done & they said they'd check it out for us for free! Pretty cool. I'm going to pick it up today & will get it checked out & finalize the purchase after Christmas. Pics later. Thanks everyone. Our driveway is going to look like a small used car lot LOL. 2 Camaros in the garage & in the driveway the Yukon, Sierra, Criuze & Crossfire. I guess we should have the right vehicle for whatever trip or task arises though huh?

Well we brought it home today but have not finalized the purchase. So far it looks like it will need tires (or course), shocks, a battery & like you guys said fluids changed, but everything else looks great so far. It actually only has 22,700 mi on it. Now my driveway really does look like a used car lot. Here are some pics.

Chevy, GMC & the Crossfire. They are like our kids now I guess, since we are empty nesters. Mike has been cleaning & tinkering with the truck every since we brought it home.

I can't see it being a big problem sitting... I've had my 93 f250 for 4 years now and it gets driven for a day or two typically once every 4-5 months or so when I need it. It's got 187k miles on it and always starts every time I need it to.

That said, check the belts and hoses like every one else said, fresh fuel, and rock it!

Beautiful truck, and a great price!

Sitting is actually worse for seals. Valve seals mainly. If any seal sits it dries out. Oil keeps seals from drying out. I'd still buy that truck. Low miles will help with resale down the road too.

I'm going to my sister's house to seal the deal tomorrow. Good news is there is no sales tax on a vehicle bought from a family member here. I did not know that. Bonus! Then I'll go Monday morning to make it official with the county. Then it needs those tires & a battery (both in good shape, but getting some age on them) and eventually some shocks. I'm looking foward to driving it some.

Oh yea 2 issues I had with my 2000 silverado (gmt800) was the steering shaft clunk and the fuel pressure regulator going out ($50 and 5 min fix)
