I'm intriged. My dealer has ambient lighting on their website but they are f'ed on the price and there is no pic of what it looks like in use so I never considered it http://www.kcchevroletcadillac.com/GMAccessories?siteMapItemName=117201239987541464

I like the idea of the extra lighting and the door handles are a nice touch but I have had bad luck with past cars with things not snapping back together right or clips breaking etc... so I'm leary of installing this stuff myself. Is it so easy a caveman could do it? Otherwise how much would you expect that a pro would charge to install this stuff? 135 seems very affordable but how much is shipping?

When you say "lighting circuit - door locks" is this the same circuit the ABL is on? I would rather them not be on at night with the ABL but maybe just come on when the doors are unlocked via the switch or hooked up to the dome light... would this be possible and how difficult would this be?

Pretty much, and, I have not seen any clips break so far. The fit of panels is really good. You should have plastic trim tools to get the panel off without scratching the paint. If you explain that the door panels need to be pulled, a hole drilled, and some plugs need to be connected, they should be able to estimate it.

Shipping would be the actual shipping cost to your ZIP code.

Toasty was correct. You would need to run a wire from the door to the cabin to have them operate like this. Think about it, though. At night, you need some light to see the handle when the dome light is off.

I am very interested in this mod. I am just worried that with all this lighting it will be too bright in the car at night. I am interested in the blue, because I bought blue led's for my dome and trunk lights from Ivan at Southwest speed.
