Inferno Orange guys with Factory GFX step on in!

Hey guys, I've looked through alot of the Inferno orange pics and cant quite find what im looking for. Im pulling the trigger on a 2SS in a few months, the dealer has agreed to give me the ground effects at wholesale price painted any color I want. I was thinking of doing the GFX in gloss black or somthing to offset the orange with the stripe package. Has anyone else done this?? If so post up your pics guys! Its much appreciated

I havent seen anyone paint the GFX gloss black yet. Probably would look pretty sweet. Most people leave them the factory grey color or paint them to match.

I had mine painted to match.

Thanks for the pics! I wish I had some photoshop or some other editing software, I love the GFX, Im thinking do them in gloss black, have the legacy grill installed in gloss black, also getting hte dovetail spoiler have it in gloss black, two tone the car pretty good wihtout actually painting the car itself. Without the GFX I think the 5th Gens look pretty naked IMO Love your hood btw!

Thanks bud, thats actually a modified factory hood!!.

But yes i agree....if you have all those mods gloss black the body kit would look sick

By the way this was a car i first looked at....it had flat black body kit. So you can kinda get the idea....just a bit more shiny

I like it! deff needs a lil more shine to go with that orange! I think it'l look sick also, especially with that black grill up there. Also thought about getting the T3 edition stripes, dealer said it'd be no problem ordering them and installing them for about the same as the standard stripe kit. Doubt anybody has done that yet. I'm aiming for my 5th gen to be unique, I got a thing for unique cars, which is why I had a 05 Goat, not many of them at all around my area, 5th gens are starting to get common but I love them, so I'l have to make it my own! at least its not like a dime-a-dozen mustang. Those things are everywhere around here. THanks so much for the vid. Im trying... TRYING to hold off til around the end of the year, pick up a '12 for a steal.

Thanks for the pics! yeah I remember when they first came out I was thinking about trading up from the goat but couldnt bring myself to part with her at the time, I couple ss models I found had the gfx but they were gray and the dealer told me they'd paint them for a couple grand extra (highway freakin robbery) and I told them no chance in hell I was buying it unless they painted them, they already had a rediculous mark up, setting at close to 50k for a 2SS msrp was 39? maybe 40? lol so I walked and never looked back. Even in the gray they look good on the Inferno orange, just gotta have that offset! Thanks again for the pics! beautiful car!

Did you do the hood yourself? or did a shop do it? if a shop did it care to tell me how much they charged for it? you can pm the msg if you want if you dont wanna post on the forum.

I did the hood myself!!.......with a little help from a dremel

Dremel = one of the best car mod tools ever made! I ported out my factor LS2 Intake Mani with mine.... That intake was the biggest POS i've ever seen. lol
