My exact thoughts including the ZL1 Hood/Bumper.

Dump it. Immediately. I hate the hood and the fact that it doesn't come with a rotatable setup even though the tires are square. I'd rather have 4 ZL1 fronts with 285s.

My thoughts too, looks too ricey for me.

I will keep it until the cleaning becomes a chore or until it doesn't look decent. Then I will likely get the Rally stripes painted on.

It comes with 4 front ZL1 tires all 285s, the reason you cannot rotate is because the wheels are not the same width. It has 10s up front and 11s in the rear. This is required to make the offsets work. But honestly, i see no need to rotate the way i drive. I have never had premature wear from front or back tires, they are wear ewually. On my 4th set now.

Attracts too much attention from the popo. Anytime you look at a bunch of cars coming in the opposite direction any car with two tone paint/stripes/decals jumps out immediately.
Would never have stripes on a car or vinyl wrap.

My vote would be to leave the hood wrap on and maybe paint it on later. When I see it coming down the road I want to know that it's a 1LE and not a SS with different wheel package.

I'm leaving the hood wrap....

It helps set the car off from the standard SS models.

Will the 20x10s really not fit on the rear?

What works for you is great... for you. Some people like being able to rotate front to rear or cross corners. I know I do because of the amount of drag racing and HPDEs I'd like to do. I'd rather have 4 tires go 20k miles than my rears go 10k and my fronts go 35k.

Several folks have expressed that they plan on removing the vinyl hood wrap once they receive their 1LEs. I'm still on the fence. Some days I like the look, some days I don't. Has anyone ever removed a wrap from a car before? What is the condition of the paint underneath after the wrap is removed. Understand that the hood is supposed to be painted the same color as the car under the wrap. I'm just wondering how easy it is to take off and if adhesive, stains, etc., are left behind. Don't want to attempt to pull of the vinyl and have a hood that looks like it came from the salvage yard.

There shouldn't be any stains or discoloration when you remove it, just a lot of adhesive to remove, which can be a pain...I will be removing as I don't like the look.

I'll be keeping the wrap on the hood and adding the same wrap to the roof between the ditch molding and the trunk, then I may get the louvers for the back glass in the same flat black.

Keep it for sure....one less body part to suffer from swirls and scratches. Not to mention it's aesthetically pleasing and model specific.

I'm with you. It's one of the distinguishing characteristics of the car. If the vinyl ever comes off the aluminum hood...i'll paint it matte black.

There are special cleaners for vinyl.

Take a look through the detailing/cleaning board and you will see numerous products recommended.

Keep it.

I plan on keeping the hood black. It sets it off from the regular SS.
