i agree that alot of (or some)of the stang sales are due to the incentives, which the camaro has 0...,i too like the looks of the challenger and agree that it is a bit overpriced,to get a chally with options comparable to the camaro it would be $8-$10 grand more,.........but of course i have always been a G.M. (Chevy) guy,

Chevrolet made 106,570 2011 Camaros and sold 48,761 to date? There are almost 60,000 2011s still on the dealer lots? Is GM channel stuffing or is there a lag in the data?

That's how much GM sold so far this calendar year, not to be confused with model year which began last year by my understanding.

Gung Ho over the Five-0 but ZL1 will set High Water Mark in PONYCAR History!
Well, it seems obvious that die-hard Ford fans are gung-ho over the 5.0. It truly is a great engine and for it's size, very very respectable. I respect it.
However, this respect I have for the 5.0 and the recent articles on the new GT and Boss does nothing to diminish my Highest Admiration and #1 spot in my heart for what the designers, engineers, and production folks are planning for Camaro ZL1. The ZL1 is truly going to be THE high water mark in Ponycar History! Can wait to get mine on order! |

No, 48,761 were sold in (calender year) 2011. A lot of the 2011's were sold in 2010 - remember that 2011 production started in June 2010.

The sales data is new, untitled sales. Doesn't matter whether they are leftover 2010s, 2011s or 2012s. If it was new and sold in the month of June it is counted.
Mustang won June 2010 and won June 2011. Don't worry it will go back to the Camaro being ahead in July. |

Not to surprised the Mustang came out a little ahead for the month. Large incentives on the Mustang and an updated 2012 Camaro on the way probably helped. Still great numbers all around.

How in the world does Dodge Stay in business. Are they going to stop making the Challenger?

Besides sheet metal, there is very little that is different between the Challenger & the Charger or 300. That added volume is what allows them to keep building Challengers. Plus, the platform is borrowed from the previous generation Mercedez ... E-class, I think, so it doesn't cost them too much to build
