Exclamation Looking to Buy a Nice Trailer .....

Hello Fellow Camaro Enthusiasts:

I would like to trailer my Z/28 to varias Show Car Events around Florida, and would really prefer to haul her in a state of the art enclosed (or open) Trailer to eliminate milage. The Z/28 is wide so I'm having issues choosing the right Trailer. Enclosed or open? Does anyone haul their Camaro on a Trailer? If so please give me some details (and Pics) and how satisfied you are with your Trailer. The videos below show some of the better Trailers on the market today. The Air Bagged Trailers appear to be the best on the market today.

Thanks in advance.

Wink I was thinking of RPM Trailers

Hello, I was thinking of getting a RPM Trailer, can use it for many things and with toilet and shower good for camping to. Can be customized many ways, but love the side kick out door so I can get in and out of my car easy!

I think these are some of the best enclosed car trailers on the market.
www.aluminumtrailer.com

I bought one of these this Fall.
https://www.milltrailers.com/car-trailers.asp

I wanted to go with the ATC just couldn't justify the extra money for it over the AutoMaster series from Millenium Trailers which is actually Forest River the RV manufacturer. The Automaster is a very nice trailer and so far I am very happy. Regardless you may want to plan on getting some Race Ramps to go with it. These cars are really low.

A couple things to think about when you buy an enclosed trailer, Get the escape door,
get the smooth sides no rivets. I would go no less than 26' in length. The taller the trailer the better the fold down door entry angle. I think having an awning is very beneficial. I did not get a dedicated location for the generator, I wish I would have. Not a deal breaker but I would if I got another one. You will notice the higher end trailers like the ones I have posted have a spread axle design. It is a very important feature. That increase in wheel spacing makes the trailer tow with much more stability. It will also cause a little more scrubbing of the tires when you turn real tight (small price to pay in my opinion). The Automaster has amazing road manners, the trailer is rock solid, even in high winds. I don't have an Equalizer hitch on it, I pull it with a SRW 3500 Dmax. Make sure you have the three main steel/aluminum beams running down the length of the trailer. The cheaper ones run two. Get torsion axles. Lastly get an exterior skin no less than .40 diameter. The heavier skin wont wave in the heat which is a common problem with darker colors and lighter diameter skin, lastly it holds up much better. I researched the hell out of my purchase. A lot of great trailers out there. The higher end trailers all seem to have some common traits, some I have lined out here. Good luck in your purchase and post some photos when you get it.

RPM sells trailers, Intech is the mfg. if you read about them and look at the craftsmanship you will realize how well they are built.

here is there website http://www.intechtrailers.com/lite-trailers.php

I have read nothing but great reviews on these trailers. look at the aluminum work, standard item like spread axles, the list goes on , read below

I am not impressed with my high dollar Intech trailer. Panels separated on the big side door twice. Dust comes in through the walls at the bottom. Alignment issues with man door and big side door. Was a battle to get some of the issues resolved through warranty.

Trailer Buy Update: Viper owner buddy recommended the Becker Trailer. Seems like a well made Trailer.

Any 83" trailer with removable fenders will work.

For ease of loading the articulated open trailers are the best.

If you go enclosed, buy one with or install a winch. With a winch and a remote loading an enclosed trailer is as easy as it gets.
