When did the 1LE run a 2:51 at VIR?

Think package not just 600 lbs and 80hp etc...the suspension has never been used in any other gm vehicle. The z28 is gonna punish everything and then the new Z07 and ZR1 will get it all back...the ebb and flow. This is why I worry it's gonna be real expensive.
I don't see that on ring. Too heavy not enough power. Unless they mount slicks

not quite there lol

Z/28 guessing will run about 2:56 being slightly faster & handle slightly better

Z/28 will be much faster than that - run by Chevy engineers. Chevy engineers did 2:45 at VIR in the zr1, 2:51.x in the new c7 w/ z51, and 2:52.4 in the ZL1. Z/28 will be faster than the ZL1. Don't use car and driver lightning lap times to compare with what manufacturers run/will run.

Couldnt find those comparison works the same. Gonna be most likely about 2 second faster then ZL1..

ZR1 for reference, to those who think the z/28 will be close to z06 (which is close to zr1)

If the z/28 is 3 sec/lap faster at Milford proving grounds (2.9 mi, roughly 1 sec per mile), and the VIR course is 4.2 mi, let's say the z is 4.2 sec/lap faster at VIR, that would still out it a few seconds per lap behind the c6 zr1 at VIR, a gap that would grow much larger at the Nurburgring. I don't think the z/28 will put up z06 numbers at the ring

I think the price will be $68k- $72k based on low production numbers, and that doesn't include the dealer mark up's ...

Guys... you are all expecting an awful lot from this vehicle. There is no doubt it will be good, amazing even, but come on. Keep your expectations in line with something resembling reality or you're just setting yourself up for disappointment later.

This (the Z/28) could literally be one of the most price gouged Chevrolets ever produced. If they can pound it up you, they're gonna.

Either way I look at it and not at all concerning myself with creature comforts or drivability on the street, I can not see spending that much money for a "CAMARO" I have owned a 1978, 1980, 1985, 1991 and a 2010 Camaro...absolutely love the car and what is stands for, but just speding a retarded amount of money for a badge as most will do, it just plain silly.

Yes I agree. I'm pretty sure what to expect though. It will be very firm no doubt. I'm a Camaro guy first, however the C7 is much more exotic than any previous Corvette and that intrigues me. Also the price of the Z/28 is highly unknown. I have NO doubt it will hold its value better than the C7.
