it's not a waste.. I get to drive it when I want to, I've got 3 other (more practical) vehicles to get me around..
this car is our dream car... we want to keep it nice not have it get banged up in my work parking garage by knuckleheads who don't care. |

I used to use it on the weekends only. Now i ride it most days. Only reason is to keep it as safe as possible until a douchebag truck driver smashed my side mirror. After that i was like what the heck ill use it more often. Great topic btw

Getting a winter beater has changed my "automotive life". Now, I have the luxury of leaving my Camaro at home in the garage while I brave snow, thunderstorms or dangerous parking lots in the beater van. Don't get me wrong, I love driving it, but I'm OCD about keeping it clean.
I used to hate having only a NICE CAR, drive it 5 minutes somewhere, park it, come back an hour later to find it rained on, covered in grass clippings, bird crap or dirt...then wonder - why did I even clean it in the first place? Here's we go again...

Mine's a DD. We'll see if that changes by Sep or October and I add a winter 4-banger beater. The IROC is my weekend / nice weather car.
