Holy Crap Im Jumping Ships!!!
Well, I am all but one second away from inking a deal on a new 2010 V6 Camaro for my daily driver! I cant believe it, I am going to buy a Camaro? Dont get me wrong all, I have always liked them but grew up in a Mustang house and fell in love with Firebirds & Transams in my adult life. I have a 68 Firebird and love it to death,,,, most likely will be buried in it!
With all that being said, I am about to lay some hard earned cash down on a new 2010 Camaro,,,, WOW! My best friend is a die hard Camaro man and he is green with envy,,,, he is also very happy that I am jumping ships. Well, just wanted to say hi to all the die hards out there. Signed, Soon to be Camaro Guy! |

I know exactly how you feel, grew up in a predominantly mustang city, and never really liked the look of the camaro (with the exception of the 60's). But, this camaro has got to be one of the meanest and classiest cars i've ever seen. BTW would you happen to have any pics of that 68?

I was a T/A lover too, man, I feel your pain! Don't ya just wish Firebirds could come back too? But don't worry, you'll feel RIGHT at home with Camaros - easy transition. It's not like you're going over to Mustangs.

Guys, I am really excited about this! The more I read on this site I just cant wait until delivery day [whenever that will be?]. I will be the 1st allocation at my dealer for a V6 so I expect to get it soon [maybe June/July?]. I am really sad that Pontiac has fallen off but I can get a decent shot of what I love in the new Camaro. What a car!!! Heck, I drove 5+ hours in ice from Indiana to Detroit last weekend just to sit in the car [had to see it, feel it and get some answers before buying].
I really do wish that GM/Pontiac did a dual release on this car.... one for the Chevy guys and one for the Pontiac guys. I think it would have been easy enough. Either way though, this is a beatiful car with a ton of potential for performance. I am quite sure that I wont be dissappointed with this car. I have never owned a "bow tie",,,, feels odd. Just cant wait. Here are some pictures of my 68 [BTW, next to my car is my best friends 98 Camaro that we built. Very customized. Dale Sr and Jr (Sr. one side and Jr. the other side) Air ride, Z06 rims, Custom Ground Effects, Ram Air Hood, High Wing Spoiler, Racing Seats, 5 Point Harnesses, Roll Cage, T-tops on a non-top car - Soon to have a 502 and new paint]:

Thanks, cant wait to drop that 502 in his 98". Should be fun!!!
I am having a hard time convincing him to baby the car for a year after we are done to put it on the show circuit to earn its "pedigree". Car has 140K+ miles on it now,,,, 80K have been after we modifed the car. A true enthusiast you know,,,, just cant stop driving the car no matter how nice we make it. God bless him!

That is one sexy car. I was about to say you should consider the V8 Camaro but nothing you buy will overshadow that Firebird .

Thanks guys. The V6 is going to be my daily driver back and forth so I figured if you have to go,,,, go in style! Plus, it will beat the estimated 7 MPG my Firebird gets!!! I dont think the Greenies like my Bird much :(
