Is it just me or did your car come alive @ 300 miles?

Somewhere around 300 miles'ish my car just seemed to come alive. More torque, crisp shifting and where the car gave me "shift denied" readouts on downshifts previously now it automatically gives the throttle a quick shot then downshifts when using the paddles, almost like I would on a manual trans. It now has 600+ miles and has really come alive.

I'm wondering if the computer had a progam that detuned it for the first few hundred miles?

I can definitely tell a difference in the way it runs. I'm at 500 miles now.

mine came alive at exactly 543 miles, It was in the process of bustin a new big body bmw. My wife said ooooh that felt good. I said what? She said all that jerking and chirping. She noticed it got stronger, so did the bmw that was about 3 cars back at that point.

I noticed a difference at about 400miles but it was now were near the differnce at bought 1000 miles!! I hope at around 1500 miles maybe she come even more alive. Rightafter had 1000 miles was taking 2 of my buddies for a ride and they said stomp it and I did. It was still in reg. Mode & she broke loose and started sliding to right and once she grabbed she just took off. Next thing I know I look down and already at 105mph! I let of my buddy said that's good for going 75mph. Buddy in back said you way off. We were at 105 it just such a smooth ride and don't feel like your going that fast. I think that is what alot of people who think there car is slows problem is because this is by far smoothest sports car I've ever drove or rode in. Beats Vettes mustanges and challengers and older camaros. Well the newest vette I've rode in was 96 so that's what I'm comparing it to. Newer ones may ride better. But I'm happy with my power especially each time she gets more and more friskier!

it learns as it breaks in, I noticed mine wouldnt hold the gear in manual mode past 4k until I had a few hundred miles on the car, I would say it starts to come to life around 500 miles or so

I noticed after about 600 miles the throttle response was a lot sharper, maybe the engine is getting "run in""..

Just today I noticed the same thing today - my LT RS "woke-up" to a noticeable degree and it was much more assertive with my cautious driving during the break-in. It would be interesting if the engine control logic tones down the performance during the first few hundred miles. Seems that way based on the comments in this thread.
