Anybody run stock tires on your 500wrhp car?
Anybody run the stock 275 on this much power? Do you get any traction at all?

Ya, itll have no problem spinning them. If you roll into the throttle instead of mashing it, they have a better chance of holding. But ya, if you just mash it, you'll have no chance of traction.

yeah, forget flooring it...spin city. Rolling on it smoothly controls the spin depending on the outside temp. I find when it's less then 60 degrees out, they spin regardless when the tech gets up there but 70+ degrees you can control it if your smart about it. Fun problem to have actually

I'm still using the stock tires running low 11's at the strip. On the steet, gotta be gentle with the throttle tho.

I don't know that I agree that Vredesteins are a performance tire...I like mine a lot, but I think they're more of a good wet weather tire that is very quiet and nice to live with. They're not that sticky, and the sidewalls are pretty pathetic in corners.
At 500RWHP, first gear is funny unless I'm on drag radials...second gear is hit or miss...depends how hard I shift, how warm it is, and how nice the pavement is.

Just be extremely careful in colder weather.
The stock tires can't even handle stock HP levels in cooler air (colder road temps). When I had the stock P-Zeros on my car they had almost no grip in temps below 50 degrees or so. But in summer temps (90 degrees), the P-Zeros are sticky and work well. |
