Not too bad actually...

- $300 for transport from Dallas to Houston on flatbed.
- $1600 for shipping Houston - Gothenburg Sweden
- 1.5% of the car value in insurance (to a 3% deductible) - About $800
- $100 in administrative costs

Once in Sweden I have to:

- Install washer nozzles for the Xenon HID lights (about $200)
- Pay about $400 in registration fees and permits

So all in all it sums up at about $3,500 before I can drive it legally in Sweden.
And this is because I am taking it with me as moving goods and therefore I do not have to pay sales tax on it nor do I have to pay any customs on importing it.

You have to have headlight washers? Is that why all Volvos come with them?

Yeah. Not sure if its a Swedish law or European law. But all cars with Xenon HID headlights require to have them installed.

Thank you buddy!

I have purchased most stuff and currently waiting for the corsa black tip exhaust. I figured I will install all the mods after all registration is done, so I will ship all the parts separately in a container to Sweden

That's stupid and corny that you have to have a squirter aimed at your headlights

Fully agree! Not sure if it makes any difference either. In just glad we don't have to have wipers too!

Thank you! Yes I am heading over here in July for a meeting in the Dallas office so I will spend a few days here then, and I will have more trips over here in the future with my new assignment too! Lucky me!

Quick question... will you get to keep your TX license plate on? That would be cool if so...

Maybe you should consider registering for a Vanity, then get it shipped from TX to Swede Land FTW...

Unfortunately not... Well initially I will, but then it will have to be exuipped with swedish licence plates.

I will mount one of the plates on my garage wall as a memory though, and the other one will be brought with me on car shows for sure! To show the car legacy
