Today, thanks to a collapsed AFM lifter in cyl. 1, I got the install of the GPI SS1 VVT cam underway. At this point, my car is a bottomless money pit with all the upgrades I got alongside this kit, but it's very much worth it. LS7 Chevy racing hydraulic lifters, hardened pushrods, ARP head bolts/studs, BTR valve springs, fast fish timing cover seal, CHE trunnion kit, and a melling LS oil pump. Should be done next week and then onto the dyno for some tuning!

Changed up the LED's I had in the license plate, trunk, and interior. Had Yorkim bulbs that I had gotten from Amazon, installed some Lasfit ones that a coworker gave me, definitely brighter, will be looking into their amber and red 194's for my sidemarkers next.

I have the day off work today and there is a Volant air cleaner waiting to be installed. I could have done that today but long story son Little Ricky's car is in the shop for a new engine, AC (compressor and condenser), brake rotors, pads, and caliper. He needed a car to go see his mama so he borrowed my Camaro. So what I did today was get a battery, pumped up a flat tire, fired up the Grand National which has not been licensed since 2017 took it to Firestone to have a master cylinder installed so that when I go from 0 to 100 in 13 seconds so I can stop after that and got license tabs. I'm on the road again...and I just can't wait to get on the road again...I hope to install the Volant on Saturday.

<-------------------see that burnout over there? That be me maybe as early as tonight. Then back to Firestone for new rear tires tomorrow.

I've wondered over the years how one can tell if their car is male or female. My GN is a male that is for sure. His name is Darth. My sometimes daughter, Ellie Mae, calls the Camaro "Aloha". Could be femaie gender? Little Ricky has named his car Tenchi (female). Has any of you named their car Zoolander, by chance?

Oh god, I bet that hurt man. I made my own bonehead move recently too, doing something I NEVER DO and knew better than to do.

A few months ago I went to a car wash and wasn't paying attention and pulled into the NON touch-less bay instead of the touchless bay. By the time I realized it, it was too late and I was boxed in and had paid already. Anyhow, the car wash started and ran for like 2 minutes but all of a sudden I felt the entire car shift. The brush bar had wedged against my front passenger fender and gotten stuck. The owner heard the loud squealing from the machine and quickly turned it off and ran inside to my car. I asked 'Is it ok?' he said "Well, not really'. It caved in the fender above the wheel and put a light crease in it too. I was lucky he was there as he got to see the entire thing, but my dash cam recorded the entire incident just in case.

He apologized profusely and made it right in just a few days. I took it to the local body shop and it was estimated at $1200 to replace the fender, respray, blend, and replace the CAMARO badge. He paid me via Paypal 5 minutes after I sent him the estimate. I still haven't gotten it fixed though as I haven't decided if I want to go with the Anderson Composites carbon fiber fender set instead. It would only cost me $300 more out of pocket. Luckily it doesn't really look that bad and I could probably have it PDR'd for much cheaper, but I would never be fully satisfied with that. You have to look at it from the right angle to really even notice it...but I know it's there.

Stay out of the car wash people!
