Our 2010 LT OEM failed without warning at 5 years (9000 miles, garaged, no mods)
Turned the key to start one morning and nothing happened. The most frustrating part was the key could not be removed from the ignition - Anti theft maybe.
We had not researched other batteries, and were not in a position to explore other options.
Replaced with OEM and has been fine since. Planning to replace it again soon since they seem to fail suddenly.

sluggish starting is how they seem to be on their way out..mine was showing signs of that.
now it spins super quick..these big motors need a lot of amps it seems.

In Arizona you're lucky if you get more then three years out of a battery. The heat just kills them

6 years, original battery, no issues. I will definitely be replacing it with an exact replica. :-)

DCC: it appears that the original part number and its successors have been discontinued. There are a few GM online parts stores that have them in stock, but I wonder how long they’ve been on the shelf? Autozone also has the battery under part number 94RS. Amazon, Jegs, Summit, Rock Auto etc. stock the 36 month free replacement AGM version of the ACD 94R battery. Best price I found was $160 on rock auto, which isn’t much more than the lead acid version.

Thats why I changed mine this past summer even though it was still good

I have CAA but whats the point of living on borrowed time.

The GF would be pissed if I got stranded with her in the car which has happened a few times in the past in various 4th gens(Blew up testing NO2,ran over road gator taking out rad, blew trans after wicked burn out)

One more and I think she hits me with her purse and its heavy

When I bought my car last July, first thing I did was take the battery out and get it tested, it was the original battery from when the car was built in late 2010. Battery failed testing, bought a Napa AGM battery.

Haha. I'm changing it out once the cam goes in. It's not my daily just my nice weather cruiser. And as far as the purse goes....fake left and go right. She will miss you completely.

The original batteries for these cars are not available anymore. I don't think they ever were because the batteries they use on the assembly line are slightly different than the Delco replacement versions available from the dealer and the auto parts stores.

I just recently purchased the replacement Delco 94R from Autozone after the OEM crapped out on me after 6 years. Except for a few small differences in the battery case including the separate vacuum tube insert, it fits exactly the same as the original.

The battery in my 14 lasted 4 years. Put one in from O’Reilly and it lasted 1 month past the two year warranty. They’re crazy expensive now. Maybe the OEM would’ve been a better idea.
