It has more traction off the line because of it being rwd, having an LSD, and having 275s. But since the wheels weigh so much more(as well as the car as a whole) that means it doesn't quite edge out the lightweigt cobalt to 60 if at all(drivers being equal).

So they would be equal. On street tires I can pull 2.00 60 foot times in the cobalt. No it's not a rwd 60 but prolly whY the v6's can do on street tires.

Sorry I'm just sick of the immature comments by Wesman(if I'm not mistaken he has had a temporary ban on him until recently because he went on a rampage) and the character degradation comments of Mike25(but I instigated, lol man you need a different avatar!). Your welcome for providing the whole article on Car and Driver. I don't really care about the Cobalt transmission, I assumed GM would have put a 6-speed in the T/c to help make it more competitive, I was wrong(no offense). In fact I was trying to argue that the Camaro V6 is faster based on the times of s/c SS Cobalts I've been seeing at my local drag strip(Thunder Valley Raceway) and took into account the times some magazine tests have gotten for it.

I don't get into the paper racing but my SS beat a few SS Camaros by a few cars. Even the Challenger and Chargers. I would assume by how easy it was that they were stock-ish. Alot people get really butt hurt that a Cobalt beat them but ALOT of BMW and import guys know what turbo cobalts are doing on the street. Inside line videos arent a good unit of measurement.
