since I picked up my corvette a couple weeks back, I have started frequenting a few other forums much like I did when I first started learning about our beautiful Camaros. I am really surprised how much hatred the corvette guys have for the Camaro.
I really thought that the folks that drive Corvettes would have been more appreciative of their chevy counter-parts but thats not the case. lots of hate on one particular site, and no I will not say which site, I still am learning alot there just do not like the overall negativity about our beautiful Camaros.
I would expect a certain amount of Camaro bashing on a mustang or challenger forum, but was disappointed that the corvette guys act the way they are about another chevy. mind you it's not everyone but enough to catch my attention. I don't think I have ever seen anyone post a negative comment about the vette on this site.
just another way for us all to realize what a great site camaro5 is.

A lot of the local Corvette guys have negative comments to make about our cars. Mostly because we take "their" spots at local shows. Even though they only show up with 3-5 max and we show up with 7-8 minimum.

You don't need to go to another forum to find camaro hatred. There's plenty enough to go around right here. V8 hates V6, and manuals and autos both hate each other. I'm so close to calling it quits on this forum.

I wouldn't call it hate, I'd call it friendly ribbing. Although there is always that person who is a complete A**.

and to the OP, I think is partially due to the fact that the Camaro is in the same class of the Corvette to other people. The design is unreal, the power is unreal. I think its the close competition that turns them to hate on the Camaro.
Majority of uninformed people think the camaro is in the same price range of the corvette. And the Camaro design draws more attention for now, until the C7 comes out

not only do i hate any car that isn't a camaro, I hate any camaro that doesn't have the same VIN number as me...........oh wait....

I got nothin but love for my brother the Corvette...but your right..the hate is everywhere and its never gonna stop....as long as people can keep it civil in the forums amongst themselves.

There are almost no reason the Corvette owners should have hate for the Camaro ( they have the better performing car as it is most generally)....actually the only reason I can think of is that the Camaros have basically stolen the show from Corvettes over the past few years because of looks. Hard to deny that.

That will chance once the C7 is released.

I like all muscle cars and don't care what it is. Some I won't own but have no issue. It is all what fits that person most IMHO. I don't like the looks of the mustang not my car and I chose to buy a camaro. Could have a z06 but chose different, no disrespect to a vette owner or mustang or dodge owner but not my style.
