Well went by the upholstery shop after work today and chatted with the guys who are going to do the Katzkins leather interior for me, and the price went up some, to do the front seats with the centers the RJT color and the outside of the seat the dark grey and the headrests the dark grey with the SS embroidered in the RJT and all the stitching done in the RJT with the back seat done to match, along with the inside doors panels and the 2 dash strips is going to be 1500 for install and everything. My question is do you all know if this is a good price for the job ? I have never dealt with custom leather work before. Just want to make sure I'm not paying too much. Thanks

BUMP,, Wow you folks are a tough crowd to get an answer from !! Anybody help me out here, don't want to spend the money if it seems too high of an estimate.. Thanks..

A friend of mine got his old truck done with white leather and green , seats ,doors , dash and over head , he told me it cost him close to $3 grand . Another friend got his firebird pace car done and he spent $2 grand , so it doesn't sound you got that bad of a price .

I was getting my seat covers redone , cover king seat covers front & back , Just the center getting replaced with green and my price quote is right at $400.00 ..

Doesn't sound like a bad price to me considering a full set of katzkins leather seat covers is probably around 1k and your getting more plus installation.

I think that's a decent price, especially if it includes the Katzkins. You gotta figure man hours to install, plus these guys doing the work have bills to pay on the shop. Electric, gas, taxes, etc.

That's a really good price. I've been researching Katzkins for a bit now for my own project and anything with all seat covers and interior inserts is at least $2K+

I got leather seat covers from Leatherseats.com Took off my factory leather and installed the covers myself. Cost. $1100.00. Two tone red and black.

The wrinkles will flatten out after a little use. Car is in storage now.

Well folks, got my tax money back today, and Monday, I will be going to my upholstery shop to make the deposit so they can order the interior for me and have it made. Said it would take about a week or so to get it from the Katzkins people.
