Polished wheel or Midnight silver

Does anyone know for sure if the Polished wheels can substitute the midnight silver wheels from the RS package at no extra charge. Or do you have to pay the 400 extra to exchange one upgraded wheel for another. I remind you thats the same prise you pay without the RS package. The only reason I would get the RS on a SS2 would be for the HID headlights. I don't think their cost is almost 1 G would justify this since almost everything else that the RS gives you comes with the SS2 especialy if you opt for the polished wheels.

You would never be able to buy the HID headlight package for under $1000. RS also gives you the color coded "ditch moldings" (instead of black) above the windows, and different tail lights.
I believe the RS package is reduced in price when you're buying the 2SS because it reflects the fact that you're already getting the 20" wheels with the SS package. So....its still another $480 for the polished wheels ($120 per wheel). Personally I feel that its a rip off...but I do want it.
I really don't see any other cheaper solution at this time. They know they have you in a tough spot due to the offsets of the wheel and the need to clear the big brembo calipers. It would probably be awhile before the aftermarket would have a cheaper solution.

just to chime in also. . . the polished wheels are an upgrade in any model you can pick, thus they will not give you them for free just because you don't want the midnight painted wheels with the RS package.

Hmmm Interesting. I was gonna get some aftermarket rims but if its only 480 to upgrade maybe I should look into the polished wheels.

From the example of the polished wheels on the silver SS, I am actually considering get my painted SS wheels striped and professionally polished to look like chrome. The example I saw was nothing like the SLP polished wheels on the 4th gens. Could probably get it done for about the same price anyways.
