Copy cats
Is it just me or does anyone else get bothered by car companies that copy other cars. I think Hyundai, or how ever you spell that, is the worst. They have a car that looks just like the Accord and some little thing that I swear is a Benz every time I see it. The latest is the new Chrysler 300. Though it is a cool looking car, they blatantly copies the Audi cool led headlight thing. I am a big anti-Chrysler person and think if you can't come up with your own ideas, you need to hire some new design guys or stop making cars.
Just my oppinion. Take it or leave it. PS. The 5th gen Camaro is one of a kinda and the awesomest car known to man.

Seconded...ed...
I dislike seeing the KIA's and Hyundai's that look blatantly like other car manufacturer's models, and then they tout their cars as being superior luxury vehicles or whatever. Examples: Hyundai Accent = a bad version of an old Chevy Aveo, or Ford Fiesta Hyundai Elantra = a cross between a Honda Civic/Accord and a Mazda 3 Hyundai Sonata = a goofy looking Toyota Camry (a car that's already kinda goofy looking) Hyundai Azera = a goofy looking Toyota Avalon (another car that's already kind of goofy looking) Hyundai Tuscon = Mazda CX-9? Hyundai Santa Fe = Toyota Rav-4? Hyundai Veracruz = Bloated Subaru Outback or Tribeca? Hyundai Genesis = cheap-o Mercedes (pick one) Hyundai Equus = another Mercedes knock-off, but with Audi LED accents... (not to mention the car model title is unpronouncable to normal people) I won't even get started on KIA... Any car manufacturer who's brand name is the abbreviation for "Killed In Action" is not to be trusted...

HA HA this is funny... but I'd have to disagree with part of what you said.
Hyundai Accent = a bad version of an old Chevy Aveo, or Ford Fiesta if anything they ripped off the Hyundai it has been around much longer and had the ... err style??? before them as far as KIA goes... what do you expect from Ford yeah I said it... they are basically a Ford subsidiary. |

But in all seriousness, I see your point. I guess some car brands are running out of ideas

Yeah, I was just quickly surfing between different manufacturer websites to grab a car that looked similar in bodylines and other features.
I don't think they look exactly alike, but you can tell they take a lot of styling from other car manufacturers and then try to pull some slogan out of their rear-end about being "the best" out there. But, they are what they are, the asian knock-offs for a fraction of the cost. They are excellent at reverse engineering

I don't like the new 300. I liked the old style better. I wouldn't buy either though.

[QUOTE=FenwickHockey65;2743809]Ford doesn't own Kia...Kia and Hyundai are the same company.
QUOTE] I didn't mean to imply Ford owned KIA, but they did fund them and introduce them to the American market by having them build quite a few of their 4 cylinder cars in the early 90's |
