clearance for whipple 2.9 to 4L in ZL1

So whats the max sc substitute that can be used with LSA ported heads or even the Mast CNC ported hi flow heads for the ZL1, when you're updating a ZL1 and want to clear the stock strut tower brace and fit under the stock hood with CF weave?

Is it a 2.9L the largest or will a 4 or 5 liter whipple sc fit?

Do a homemade COPO and I suppose ported splayed COPO heads are an option too ehh?

Something around 750 to 900 RWHP w/o spinning the sc into uncharted rpm territory to achieve it. Look at the KDI ZL1 for sale/. almost bought it, but want to get a properly broken in engine, followed by use of the warrnty before making a 9 sec car; while spending 13 to 18 K above the ZL1 cost.

I want to embarrass every Corvette, Viper or Ferarri I see. There are a few in the Sevierville/Gatlinburg area here in TN.

KDI post below....if only it were an m6; but I want an a manual..already have a white stripe delete 2SSRS. I'm going for an inferno orange m6 w/moonroof next week.

I dont think the 2.9 will clear the strut tower brace either!

You're only option would be the heartbeat magnacharger

Then the 2.9 will fit under the hood without the strut brace

anything larger and you are looking at modifying alot of things, unless u wanna settle with a kennebell you can get a 3.6LC under the hood, but i wont do it

KDI has a 10.23 sec ZL1 listed, which with the listed mods he claims will make 9.x secs in the 1/4 mile i.e. 1 9 sec Gen 5 Camaro.
