FE4 suspension

Quick Questions if any of you can help me out.

Do all 2012 SS have the FE4 Suspension?

Also what makes this different from the 2011?

Yes all 2012 SS models have the FE4.

As for differences increased sway bar size & mounting locations, shocks/struts and maybe even spring rates.

I'm sure someone will say there isn't much of a difference FE3 vs FE4 but there is.

Like mentioned by the posters above, there are differences between the FE2/3 and FE4 suspension packages. The biggest change being the rear sway bar pickup point on the rear lower control arm. By moving the pickup point outboard of the shock GM picked up more roll stiffness due to better leverage for the sway bar, without increasing overall diameter too much. Increases in roll stiffness really do make for a better handling Camaro, as the very small rear sway bar on the FE3 package was the biggest single contributor to the understeer with the factory suspension package.

Interestingly enough the FE4 control arms still have the mounting bracket to bolt FE3 sway bars up. So if you currently have a 2012 you can still use the 2010/2011 sway bars. But if you have an older 2010 or 11 car you will need to upgrade the rear control arms before you can use a 2012+ sway bar package.

We are currently developing an FE4 specific sway bar package that will take advantage of the newest control arms. You can find a thread we've created about them here: Pfadt Racing FE4 Specific Sway Bar Package
