The knee jerk reaction is just GM proving they are proactive now.... to Congress.

Totally agree. More about PR than safety.

I heard on one of the news/talk shows that law suits have already been filed because of all the recalls. The complaint; all these Recalls have Devalued their vehicle! I wasn't expecting to hear that angle. Only in America!

The Talkingheads said a class-action suit would result in pennies because theres millions of cars being recalled. But they did make a good point if somebody goes to trade-in their car the Sleazy salesman will devalue the car due to the recalls. Who wants a used recalled car, better be a really good deal if they want to make the sale, so in-turn they will screw you on the trade.

Yeah we're getting screwed. I remember researching the trade-in value of the camaro and that was a big factor in practicality when choosing camaro.

It was a big problem with me that my BMW was worth nothing on trade in- only being a few years old.

I wish GM would take care of us...

This is crazy.

This in Sweden, Europe. I ordered a 2SS/RS in September last year, with delivery in May, then its been delayed.

Finally it. Arrived in port in Sweden this Monday, i've even recieved the license plate number.

Now though they tell me its not allowed onwards from the harbour until the stop is lifted. If it had arrived 1/2 week earlier I would have got it. :(

Does anyone have any idea about how long it will take until they lift the stop? Are we talking days, weeks or months?
