How long till these cars gain value?
Was just thinking about how low the value of a 2010 SS in great condition will go before it starts to climb again due to being a "classic". I remember the 67 Camaro could be found in an autotrader mag in the late 80's for around 4k in decent ready to fix up condition. That's probably about 7-8K in today's money. Will it take 25 years for these to appreciate? Like to know what everyone thinks.

I am hoping they gain value faster because of the lack of problems upcoming cars will face due to CAFE standards being rediculous in the future and thats right around the corner. As these cars are somewhat of the last big bang for muscle cars even the new vette has AFM to deal with.......

my biggest concern is if 93 octane gas will still be around in 20 years...or will everyone have to add torco for these types of cars

I'm guessing the V8s will climb in 15-20 years due to CAFE standards.

GAIN value???
.....perhaps a low mileage special edition or low production model in perfect condition….in a few decades. GM is producing/selling thousands of these cars. |

This, unless it was the first off the line, or some name special designed it or for some reason all but 20 disappear and theres only a couple left like the etsel these aren't going to magically increase in value. Theres just so many more produced and sold than back in the old days.

A long time- way too many made for this. The ZL1 may be different since I'm sure production was much lower for them.

There will definitely come a day when they regain value...I just may not be around to see it. The question came to mind because I will have to store mine in about 5 years when my kids hit the driving age...have to make room in the stable for a "kid" type car. So it will sit in storage for probably 5 years. Was just thinking by then it will already be almost 15 years old by the time I bring it back out

ZL1, 1LE and special edition cars will be worth something in a few decades. I don't think just having an SS will make it worth a ton of money although they will be worth more than the V6 cars. |

probably never, the baby boomers will continue to spend mountains of money for 60s cars in their quest to remember 'the good old days'
