So I ordered a Camaro SS with the option 21 inch black rims??????

Ok here is the deal ordered a Camaro SS W/ the 21inch wheel option. Now do I get the original set of rims that come with the car also or what? Has anyone delt with this problem with the dealer giving you both sets of rims?

Thank You

It is a dealer installed option so if the dealer doesn't give you your 'original' wheels then there is a problem.

And pull out your checkbook when you have to put tires on it, LOL.

Not sure if this question was for me or the OP, but you don't pay extra per se. When you order the RS package it comes with upgraded rims (20") and those are factory installed, so it comes on the truck to the dealer that way. The upgraded rims are dealer installed so really you purchased both rims and both are yours for the taking. If the dealer says anything else then walk away from the deal and go to a different dealer.

To the OP I see your in MI, did you get the GFX? if so we have the same car

Not to doubt you guys, and I would have thought the same thing.... I too ordered the 21" black wheels, and was told by two different dealers that the stock wheels are sent back to the factory. In other words, the price on the upgraded wheels is contingent upon return of the stock wheels. This is another reason I didn't get the RS package. Best I could tell, I was paying $1200 for different headlights, since I was already getting upgraded wheels. Anyway, I posed the question to my seller at the dealership. He was off today and will check tomorrow. But he thought the originals go back to the factory. Just looking for something solid to battle with if needed.

Oh, and somebody please enlighten me about PQs experience with the 21s. If its only tire cost, I'm not concerned about that.

You bought two sets of wheels - if you only received one, your original Midnight Silver w/tires from RS package are owed to you. (my understanding)

Just for the record, Chevrolet won't answer this question. They told me I'll have to work that out with the dealership. Thinking more about it, I am convinced they're mine. If I were to have ordered the car with no wheel option, I could have walked over to the parts counter and ordered the 21"s for the same price and then had all 8.

Yeah, that's what I said; you purchased two sets of wheels & tires and your dealership gave you one.

My car's not even made yet (TPW 3/29). Just trying to settle this before the time comes. From the classified section, it looks like originals are going from $1200-$1600, so they're worth fighting for.
