Sure that may be true. However, now all that dirt and pollen is getting clogged inside your vents

the air may blow harder at first, but all that dirt/pollen crap will end up on your evap coil. This will restrict air flow, can be smelly too. Change your filters people... Take it from an a/c tech...

FYI ,MY 2005 Chevy Silvarado 2500 HD duramax came without a cabin air filter and my 2003 Hummer H3 also had no cabin filter. Both have never had any AC problems of funny smell from the vents. In the event that you do get a odor from HVAC vents in a car or truck a can of Lysoil will kill it no problem . FYI new car dealers and manufacturers make more money on parts and service then they do on the sale of a new car . If my 2005 Silvarado 2500HD 4x4 didn't need a cabin filter when GM built it ,why should it now? Also it must not have a clogged evap coil because after 10 years of on and off road driving it still blows harder and much colder then my new 2014 Camaro 1SS,RS,1LE in the heat of Phoenix .The Hummer never had a cabin air filter as delivered new in 03 ,but it still blows hard and cold also .The Hummer is not as cold as the Silverado and never was. The 05 Silverado on recerc blows 34 to 36 degrees and always has ( checked with infrared thermometer ) ,and I have to turn it down on most 112 degree days . I too am an AC tech ,and have a used car lot and we do 8 to 10 Ac jobs a month in the summer .

well I've driven older trucks that had low air flow from vents. Those were older than yours. If it came with a filter, you should change as needed....

It's true for your house too, but I don't see any a/c techs recommending you pull the filters out and run it that way.

Same with oil, and air intakes. Better flow without filters, but you'll risk mucking something up.

So why use filters? Because it's cheap insurance against clogged evap coils. If you have filters, use them. If not, then you can't.

So if it came with exhaust manifolds and cats you should leave them on ?
How about CAGS ,it came with that .
And the stock factory airbox ,.
And there must be no reason to port the TB also.
