how high do you have to lift the car to install the headers?

Can this be done using Race ramps that are 10" high?

Thank you for any and all advice.

I used race ramps and when it got to the last part of the install, I raised it up a bit more with a floor jack. Not much, but the race ramps weren't quite high enough.

It will work. Just go slow and you'll be fine.

Yes, you should have enough room. I just used cement blocks and was perfect for me.

I've installed 5 sets on ZL1s on my ramps...seriously...no problem. If I were closer, I would. I hate laying on my back, but it is doable.

Yeah we're about 5 hours apart. Sucks... Could use someone with some experience in these matters. I've done exhaust work before, just never headers, and definitely not headers on a car this expensive.

no worries...this car is cake for headers. I'm currently installing a set of headers on 2012 Toyota Tundra 5.7...what a bastard! On the Yota, I had to remove the front driveshaft, jack the motor off the mounts, and jockey the bolts into very tight places. The ZL1 is very accessible in comparison.

Hopefully it is as easy for me. I'm about to do the headers, fuel injectors, and plugs/wires here within the next few weeks.
