It's sad that the OP thinks a car that has the side refinished is worth $6,000 less just because. Does that mean if you had a brand new Camaro and the side got scratched and had to be repainted, you would laugh at someone offering $6000 less than what you paid for a USED car?
If you can't live with the paint, you pass on the car. BTW, the dealer (by law) has to disclose that amount of damage to any purchaser. If you're not comfy just wait til the other car comes in.

Dont know on the damage but I am walking. I got screwed back in 2003 on a Jaguar XKR that was painted and the paint was peeling 1 week after delivery. I ended in a major lawsuit victory and won but it was a terrible thing to go through. They tried repainting the complete car and it was in the shop for 4 months and looked like crap, they ruined the interior and trim etc. I will never setrtle for this EVER again.
The paint on this Camaro had some wavyness down the side and I restore vintage cars for a hobby and that is a sign of bad bodywork and bad block sanding and spraying. paint had lots of fisheye and lots of flaws on every edge, door jamb was dull it had no gloss. It just isnt what i want in a new car. |

Look around IOM is out there and you should find it on a lot somewhere. Trailer fees would be the only difference. I wish you the best.

Don't pay over sticker. Deal with a dealer who will sell it to you for no more than invoice.

At this point in time no one should pay above MSRP. No way. Nine days ago I ordered a 1LT/RS at about $1000 below MSRP. Damaged and repainted -$500? I don't think so. Just my opinion.

I hate mark up.... I could more than likely find one out on a lot, and get it to you.... take off the credit union discount, get supplier pricing, - $500 to waive the warranty....shipping MAYBE $750, and you STILL got it for way less than sticker!

Well I spent 2 hours searching thanks to your leads and I found a few choices.
Black/Black just the way i want it with no sunroof ( second color choice) Orange/Black except it has sunroof two websites show the orange car exactly like i want it but i dont think its physically in stock yet(1st color choice) orange with two tone interior with no sunroof. Interior may be a bit much if the sunroof wasnt the big deal my car is out there. I need the extra head room plus it looks cooler without the sliding roof. This deal is going to happen Tuesday its priority when i wake up. I want to be driving Friday night!!!!!! |
