Pontiac Grand Prix GTP (97-03). They made so many of them that they have absolutely no resale value. You can get a nicely optioned one for about $5K.

why is everyone saying that 4th gens are out of the question? you can find one for less than 5k that might not be in perfect condition but isnt a total heap. hell, ive got friends who payed only 2-3k for thier 4th gens, and they were in great shape, sure a lil paint peeling here and there, and you might have to replace a turn signal bulb, but if you are willing to look, im sure you can find a 4th gen for less than 5k and still be in good to great shape. (just dont go to a stealership.)

I have looked into the GTP, and they are nice. And a 2001 will run me around 5k, for 240 hp and 280 foot pounds of torque. unfortunately it requires premium gasoline. But I have been looking at reviews of the car and the worst was a 4/5. the funniest was this

As for the Camaro, I was looking around and i couldn't find any less than 15 years old in my price range. double checking now from another source, I see that a 1999 Z28 fits my price range. Unfortunately, I've never had much love for the 4th gen's, not sure what it is about them. Also I don't think that I will get very good economy out of it and insurance will be fairly high. I need it as a daily driver, with some fun when ever I want. I will add them both to my list.

I was browsing through autotrader .com and I thought of this thread. Any more suggestions?
