Thumbs up Driver's Seat Mod for TALL PEOPLE - Update with Video's !!

I just installed my new Driver's seat bracket custom made for the 2010/2011 Camaro Driver's Seat. It will allow the drivers seat to move back an additional 4-5 inches.. I Love It !! It will be nice for my trip to Camaro5Fest. I am 6'4" tall and I still had to drive with my legs bent and was very uncomfortable on long trips.. This is going to be SWEET !!

I just removed the seat, installed the seat bracket, added 2 extra bolts (as shown in the 5th picture on the front and used the factory rear bolts, reinstalled the seat..

The last picture is showing me with my legs stretched straight out and I had to scoot up in the seat a little to push the clutch pedal in !!

OK Guys, Here are the videos that I made. Sorry for the Shitty Narration, but you get the point !! Once I get them back from the Powdercoater, I will upload some pics.. I should have them back next Monday or Tuesday and I will bringing some to Camaro5Fest if they are finished.

I'm so used to driving with my legs bent, I don't even know what I'd do with all the extra space! Not just in the Camaro, but every car I drive. Don't complain until you drive a car w/o cruise control for 4 hours straight

Nice mod btw. I'm sure the room is wonderful!

Wow- you must be all legs. I'm knocking on 6'9" and have always thought the car had a ton of room. However, this is an interesting mod.

I am 6'4" with a 35" inseam. I drive a 2SS with electric seats. I don't have 4" extra room to move the electric seat back further from the factory standard seats.....you are in the back seat cushions. I might have 2" at most. Have you removed the rear seat??

It would be nice to have more room.

Nope, rear seat still installed.. The rear of the driver's seat touches the front of the back seat !! but ohhh how I love the leg room now !!

The seat pic are confusing to me. A couple of them look like they have some sort of cloth material on it?

What you are seeing is the original seat bracket/frame.. This mod fits underneath the original seat bracket. The Cloth Material you see is where the slice in the carpet is stuck to the original seat bracket.

Basically, you unbolt and remove the seat, put the seat bracket mod down, then put the seat back in place and add 2 additional bolts in the front (as shown in picture #5) and put the bolts back in the rear, plug the electrical back in. Done !!
