I was on I-95 last night and a 5.0 came up and started messing around in till he saw my RS emblems then Screamed "wow your a sixer...you dont stand a chance"
I know I have a V6, but why are you messing around with me if "I dont stand a chance"?

I don't get why us V6 owners have to listen to shit from everyone cause we don't have a V8??
HELLO people its still a CAMARO and still deserves the same RESPECT! plus it still beats half the cars on the road.
Plus most of us V6 owners use our Camaro as our Daily Driver so we don't want a V8 cause of gas... or If your like me and is 18, a 2011 Camaro is NICE NO MATTER the engine size!
I just wanted to see if any other V6 owners get the same crap on the road or Camaro5 ?

lol my stock v6 can beat most GT's aside from the new 2011 ones haha, so laugh is on them that a v8 mustang has same horse power as a v6. but i supose depends what all they have under the hood... laughs on most of them.

I do and I'm 17, so that was my reason I didn't get a V8. It's my first car, and hopefully in another year I will be upgrading to an SS.

I deal with the same thing, people seem to just laugh when I say it's a "V6" even though I would beat most cars on the road with my "V6", but I don't care because I love my car and I wouldn't trade it for anything other than an SS, soon.

I only get crap from people driving vans, civics and dodge rams for some reason I laugh at all of them I got this car 2 years ago at age 18, these people cant even afford my insurance let alone my car. ($540 a month)
Honestly, I could care less. I actually get more respect in the camaro then I had anticipated. I know I got my big brother SSs to take care of other V8s (Insert Member Asylum here). Except chally V8s lol those ill go for.

I've actually taken more crap for having an auto than having a v6. Everyone I've talked to has been impressed by the 312hp v6, Including a bodyshop full of guys with 60's-70's camaros, mustangs, and challengers. In fact the only one to give me crap about it being a v6 was my uncle and thats just cause he likes giving me a hard time.

The V6 Camaro is a great car for the price. However if you buy one..I think honestly, you have to at some point expect someone to ask why you didn't get a V8 or talk crap. It's just part of the territory...no reason to get all bent. Same with buying an automatic...which I have heard a lot over the years for doing.

GM did do a VERY good job with the v6 engine. again the problem is not HP. why people hate. its got plenty of HP, look at a STI with 300HP. and keeps up with a SS.

now for the OP, you have a camaro. the car looks fast, you will get people wanting to mess with you.

I don't have an issue with the V6 guys, 304-312hp is power that none of us would have dreamed of in the 3rd Gen days when I was kid. The only thing I don't get about some of the V6 cars are the 2LT guys who spent more on their cars all blinged out when they could have had the larger engine for less. I guess its a choice of personal preference, I know I'm in the minority with a 1SS, auto and no RS package.

very common thing people do. i laugh when i see people go out and buy the lowest PKG possible for any "cool" car and put big rims on it. and think they are high rollers.
