The pictures above are legit. I don't open mine up but keep it closed and only on the back hooks strqight across so things don't move in it at all.

I'm not sure what the metal loops are for.
Now I get why the necro thread came back to life ... ha!

... and the Metal loops are used as anchor points for tie downs or bungee cords.

That's what I was figuring until I got to thinking "What would fit into the opening of the trunk that would possible require it to be tied down?"

I use it to teather cooler, camera bags, backpack etc ... stuff that doesn't fit into the cargo net or that will snag on the netting. Just to prevent the other stuff from sliding around (also since I have vert, to make certain that stuff doesn't get in the way of the top when raising and lowering).

Specifically helps to keep things from sliding all over when driving "spiritedly".

Besides the cargo net get the GM trunk mat also. It is a nice rubber mat and things do not slide around it the trunk with it. My laptops I carry for work never fly around back there with the rubber mat. With the carpet I heard them hitting the sides of the car all the time.

I have the Weathertech cargo mat so things are at too big for the net don't slide around anyway.

The cargo net is legit. Mine came with one installed and I use it daily.

I got the ebay one for $30 i think, its appears to be the exact same thing, I wasnt getting the connect the front of the opening to the two front points so it was looking odd, now it looks right.

Stuff slides around the trunk real easy if you don't have the cargo mat. Then you have to go around corners real slow and not take off fast or brake hard.

Wow I would have thought the one on ebay would be cheaper than that. I paid $30 for one from my local dealer.

Use mine all the time to hold all kinds of stuff, especially the school books that are always in there. Works great.

nice, they quoted me $49....you should buy all they have, you could probably sell them for like 35-40 on ebay, easy profit, as its probably less than a $1 to ship

Wow, hard to believe how scratch up and dirty some of your trunks are.
