Question about camaro sales compared to other muscle cars?

it seem that the hype for the camaro is a pretty big thing, and its pretty obvious that the sales seem to be good, my question is.......has or will the camaro outsell the challenger if you compare sales for the first year of each vehicle? because the challenger has been out for a while and honestly seeing one even now is almost like seeing a sasquatch or a freakin yetti where i live, unless you go to the dealership then you will see one.

Yeah only seen two challys here and I'm right outside charlotte nc so thats a pretty big city. Seen a bunch at dealers. Either people aren't buying them or bought and aren't driving which is also feasible.

considering the $10k more for the same hp and equipment that Dodge charges, i would say the Camaro will outsell the Challenger.

but that and the fuel economy advantage may not be enough right away with GM's bankruptcy and this economy.

Mustang sold 8812 but that is 09 and 10 models lumped together.

This was in May of this year.

can you imagine how many more camaros would have been sold if some dealers didn't pull the crap they are pulling?

why run business that way? anyways, it seems the camaro will improve. hopefully, all three cars do well so that muscle cars stick around for a few decades...continually competing against each other is what will make for GREAT improvements in the years to come

And think how many more would be sold if the supply were on the same level with current demand. Half the people here are still waiting to purchase. If there were 4 or 5 Camaros on the dealer lots, I'm sure the numbers would be even higher

Thing is, it'll be the V6 Camaros that sell and sell and sell and sell...

The V8 "onslaught" was because of enthusiasts like us. While pre-orders may have been 80/20 (V8/V6) actual sales 6 months from now will most likely flip those numbers. JMO. So are we looking at "total" Mustang, Camaro, and Chally sales above or just GT/SS/RT(SRT8) ?

Not only that the Challenger line is closed right now.

There is no contest here. It will be lucky to restart production much less compete against this car.

Yup. I know our closest Dodge dealer has 3-4 SRT8 cars on the lot and I have no idea how many V6 Challengers. Price is their biggest problem IMHO.

It would be great to see them alive and well but I dont see them pumping out too many more.
