You pull the ebrake handle towards the front window exposing the plastic bottom.

Slide the boot over the handle

Tuck in the leather

Move the handle back to its normal position.. and done

Maybe Tecc has other hints.

Just tried it and it did not work. Looks like you have to remove the center console for proper installation.

Not sure why you are having any problems mine slipped on pretty easy. THe only thing I took off or close to was the side piece of the center console but I just popped it out in the center instead of taking the whole thing off. If you look at the boot one side looks longer than the other that is the top make the stitching of the long side co-linear with the ebrake handle. Make sure you pull up on the ebrake handle or you will not be able to tuck it in.

Does anyone have pics of this with the leather M6 shifter? My leather M6 is completely smooth. It looks like a different type of leather.
