My wife thinks I'm crazy

Okay so my wife seems to think I take it a little over board so I was going to see what everyone on C5 thought. I detail my Camaro myself 1 time a week and/or I detail my Camaro myself anytime she goes through rain and dirt. I just thought it was normal to baby such a large investment. I think she's coming around to it a little bit but will never admit she likes it better cleaned. Lol

Normal car guy behavior to me. I do the same thing. My car has been washed all of 2 times, as I wipe it down daily if driven to keep bugs and dirt off. I have only been rained on one time so far though. Mine thinks I am nuts also, but she too is coming around.

My wife helps clean the cars when we go to car shows. She likes the cars too and wants to keep them up in value and is proud to have them. It's a good way for us to spend time together. She enjoys the shows also.

I clean my wife's truck and bike but not to the level of my SS. She understands how I am with my car and bike so she just enjoys not having to do it herself. Don't think I won with this one

I try to take good care of anything I own.
I will admit I am probably paying too much attention to my Camaro.
But she's new and beautiful.
Not a Camaro but I thought it was funny-

It's normal... The wife here says the same things. She also adds "you give your car more love than I give her". She says priorities are my car, work, then her. LOL

But at the end of the day, she is in love with the car just as much as I am. She does keep her car clean too and makes me detail it once a week for her.

My wife drives a 2012 VW Jetta. I do not clean it as often but it does get detailed once every 2-3 weeks.

Just accept her judgement and move on.

My 45th never rained on, yet I wash it every 2nd trip...

The paint show dust easy, plus brake dust makes rims looks miserable....

My wife consider herself second to my car..

I was that way when I first got my SS back in 2009, now it doesn't bother me if it's dirty. It's not a daily driver so it stays relatively clean sitting in the garage.
