I went down to the Car Show today. Had fun!
Really liked Summit's car with the little transformer on the engine.

The black volkswagen brought back some long ago memories.

Lots of Camaro's and the guy's veteran Corvettes were especially cool.
Talked with the SA Adam's distributor and got some answers.

Thanks for a fun Car show. Nice turn out.

Enjoy your weekend guys!

Pictures are up on my picasa site, grab whatever you want. The drive in videos will be up sometime this week, it's gonna take me some time to go through and remove all the empty time between cars as they drove in. I had a good time, good tunes, good food, met some cool people

I talked to a buddy of mine that had his car in the show, he's a car show and cruise-in veteran that has been in hundreds of shows. He was really impressed with today's show, saying we had good vendors, good music, a great show car turnout for a first annual show, and he liked the generosity of the door and raffle prizes. He did mention that one of the Mustang clubs here in town (I think it was Street Stylin Stangs) does their judging a little differently and to him it seemed to work out better. They put a time on your registration for when you arrive at the show, from that time you have one hour to do finishing details and set up any awards, props, etc.. One hour after you arrive, the car is judged, and the score sheet is turned in. This way the entrants aren't tied to their cars through the whole show, they get a chance to button up their car and wander around to check out the other cars during the show, or they can hang out at their own car for the remainder of the show if they choose to. Just something to consider.

Anywho... here's my Picasa link, the 562 photos are free to download for your personal use:

I had a great time at my 1st car show - well, first as a participant! I had a chat with one of the 1st gen club guys and they were quite impressed with the turnout and said they are thinking about doing a show next year and wanted to get with us to get some tips... So I'd say that was a good sign yall did something right on this!

I didn't get to wander and take pics all day like I had planned, but I still got some good shots! But I had a b-day party to go to last night and didn't get home until almost 3am, so I haven't had much of a chance to get the photos off the camera yet - but hoping to get it done tonight.
