Do you think this will lead to another recall?

"NEW YORK — Police in New York are investigating whether a man was drag racing when he drove his Camaro off a bridge and died. Westchester County police say the man took an exit off a parkway and drove off the Ashford Avenue Bridge in Dobbs Ferry at around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. He was alone in his car. The Journal News reports that the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro fell 20 to 30 feet and landed overturned under the bridge. The bridge was closed as investigators examined the scene. Authorities say the bridge was also damaged in the crash and needed an evaluation. The Ashford Avenue Bridge is a vital east-west span linking Dobbs Ferry to Ardsley. It was one of four bridges targeted by a $100 million construction project that began this year." Breaking news - Chevrolet forced to recall Camaro because it doesn't fly. |

That was a few miles from my house. Stupidity knows no race, creed or color. Darwin wins again.

Good job guys. Making jokes about someone who died...
That was someones son, that might have been someones dad, might have been someones husband... Yeah if he was drag racing, then he was at fault for doing something stupid; but come on guys, we can be more respectful than this.

I have not said this for a long time but used to remark from time to time on the 4th gen forum years ago that this much horsepower and torque is a responsibility that should not be taken lightly. We lost many in 4th gen cars and will undoubtedly lose many more in the gen 5's because people refuse to take these cars seriously. They are NOT a toy. They are a serious automobile that needs to be driven with respect. Anything less can have disastrous results.

I don't mean to jack this thread, but here in Cedar Rapids IA, there's been a lot of attention regarding the fact that we've had 4 fatality motorcycle accidents in the past 2 weeks. And yeah, in 4 out of 4 cases it appears the motorcyclist "screwed up". The bottom line is our bodies are big bags of fluids and sudden stops kill us and sometimes airbags aren't enough.
All sad stories and just goes to show you gotta be on your toes 100% of the time.

I hope when I die, someone gets a smile and a chuckle out of it... I've lived a hell of a life, if you smile and laugh, ill be happy in death.
