I need some input from you guys, black vs orange interior

I'm going to be buying a 2013 camaro 2lt... I'm torn between the black interior or the orange interior...i love the orange but i heard it fades and gets dirty very easily? is that true? has anyone gotten orange and wish they didn't or has anyone got black and wish they got orange? I'm getting the black exterior.. help!! lol

I say orange, just because the black is a little plain, everything is BLACK! The orange adds some great character, and contrast. Lighter colors handle dirt, cracking, and wear over time better than black does. Also, black gets hotter.

Even if the orange fades a bit faster than black (which I dont know about), in 5 years, the orange will still look better than black. Based on my experiences with GM leather

I've had my car since Nov '10 and have the orange interior and haven't noticed any fading or anything. I asolutely love it. I say get it you will be glad you did. And if you are worried about fading you can get tint on your window to help prevent fading. If you don't want tint i think there is a clear film that helps keep the car cool and prevent fading like tint but I could be completely wrong.

Exactly.

The only thing that colors effect is the rate of change in temperature. Given enough time, the cars inside end up at the same temperature regardless of interior color.

The great thing is, if the inside of a car is really hot, the lighter interiors cool slightly faster than the darker colors.
