Camaro SS Stock vs. Anything Stock

Couldn't think of any other title but just thought this would be a neat thread. What car in the same class as a camaro ss is its competition? Here's the catch with no mods ! Whats its true competition stock vs stock. Hope i explained it right hope this isn't a stupid thread but rather something interesting cause i for one want to know.

Gianni.

Lancer Evolution
WRX STI
Mustang GT
Challenger RT
BMW 135i

I picked these 5 because they are all sporty cars around the same price as a Camaro SS.
Hope that helps

As far as straight line performance goes....

How many cars on the road starting at 31k can trap 110-111?

I dont think any exist. Havent given it much thought. Does anyone know?

I can think of plenty if you are buying used. But talking new vs new at the moment I think the camaro is top dog for 31k.

We all know it's faster than a ZR71 Blackbird, accelerates better than the space shuttle, handles better than the f22 Raptor and f35 lightning, and is stealthier than the F117 Stealth fighter.

I have raced to Camaro SS's in my Jeep SRT-8 and walked both of them pretty easily. Off the line it was 4-5 car lengths... and then the Camaro held even but never gained any ground. Honestly I have to say I thought they would be a little quicker than they are. but that said for the price it is the hottest car out there... and great bang for your buck performance. Wish I had one...

AWD - its not a fair match unless they had drag radials/slicks.

Those Jeeps SRT8'st are beast off the line...

No. GM had an opportunity to put AWD on their vehicles, but choose to stick with RWD... both cars are stock so it's a fair comparison.

To the OP: are you looking for cars that offer similar performance at a similar price, just similar performance, or just similar price?

I assume you are referring to the previous generation, with the LS2? The new ones are in a completely different performance (and price) league. I'd also take the SRT4 off the list, its a lot slower than everything else you mentioned

2 questions:
Was it 1/8th or 1/4 mile?
Are you bone stock?

Granted the jeep would be tough to beat off of the line with the awd...but dont they trap around 102-105? still quite a bit slower than a new ss ls3.
