ha, my same thoughts.. I have been looking at LT headers and this just scared the sh#$ out of me.

OP... your car sounds 100% normal. You want real weird? Sit in your car once it's warm and watch the tach. There is easily a 300 RPM bounce just sitting there. Love your car and treat her right. Good job so far.

to me it sounds like your injectors firing normal. Sometimes they are a little loud and sound like tapping.

I think that if you install a real tach like I did you will see the rpms jumping more, but I have a cam and it is what it is----

I have datalogged it since then and it bounces between 490 - 600+

The injectors make noise...sure its not that your hearing? If you were close enough I would say drive in and we would listen for you.
