lets just say the previous owner wasn't running on all cylinders in his head. lol

Front passenger fender has a softball sized dent (he rattle canned the spot)

He lost 4-5 T-top Sets from not locking them down(you would think you would learn after first time to lock them down). And they don't fly up leaving the car unscaved.. they flop and scrape. The Roof behind passenger ttop is rattle canned, and the hatch is rattle canned.
--
The paint is in very good shape for being original; no peeling or fading. so I probably could've saved it if he didn't rattle can parts of it.
---------
Here's a video of the car doing a walk around when i first got the car Dec09. You can see the flaws in paint. (i took louvers off already, not a big fan unless if it were factory)

--
Audio is ripped out atm, T-Tops leak, Fuel gauge doesn't work, Fog lights don't work, Lock up Torque converter(or sensor) is starting to go, Driver door handle is broken, Passenger door doesn't line up right (tad off it seems to me, but closes tightly so idk) AND the motor needs a tune up lol

Its garaged during winter, no job and no money has put fixing her on hold. And I'm not that Mechanical tech Savy. And worse with wiring lol.
-
All and all she's nice I put all the money i had into buying her in 09 and Its definitely a great first car to have.

Welcome aboard, I was same as you in my younger years..hang onto that car....and remember..they are only original once!!!
BTW, on your fog lights...theres a relay trigger wire that goes bad on them from corrosion. If you have a warm place to work I'de help you out with that.

Thanks, I'm a fan of the stock look.. but I Definitely want to mod it (keep the factory original parts around ofc). I have quite a list of what i want to do with it ranging from Powertrain, Body, interior, suspension/brakes, paint(sticking w/ Black&Red or all Black). They may be only original once, but they should represent the driver's personality more than anything imo (no worries I hate the Ricer/Donk scenes so it will Definitely stay Muscle). I'm definitely Never selling the car.
-
When i got the Car, Previous owner said the Fog lights worked and then just suddenly stopped working one night. He tried fixing them but got irritated and 'disconnected everything' for the fog light system. I haven't touched it since I don't want to mess anything up more than things are, tried looking at schematics but i didn't even know what i was looking at. As for the offer thanks but i don't have a warm place to work on it, it is garaged but it's not heated so i can't do much with the car til spring now.

BTW do you happen to know a Eddie Baskerville by chance? I noticed your from Colonie as well and I've seen a 5th Gen in the neighborhood a few times The same color blue as yours is in pics, might just be coincidence idk.

Don't know when I get it. I ordered it from Maltbie in Lake George. I have the order number but they place their orders with on Tuesdays, so won't know more till next week. I have been dealing with them since around 03 and have ordered six trucks from them newest being a 08. All of the trucks I ordered were LT's & LTZ's loaded. They are the best dealership I have delt with, so good that I have sent over 20 freinds to them and they all bought from them. Even with GMS & GM in the driveway they give all incentives and rebates to you the buyer.

I don't know if any are aware of a site called mygmdiscount.com but you can go there and get the gm supplier's discount on any car or truck. All you have to do is to belong to a credit union. You go to it and register and then build a car you would like to buy and it will tell what you can buy it for and still get other incentives. I saved 3000 on my 2011 camaro 2ss. I built the car that the dealer had or else they will search for the one you build. Give it a try it is well worth it..

I just checked the site no convertibles listed in Camaro section. GM.com doesn't have conv. only Chevrolet.com. Doesn't make sense.

Hi, Gang!

Count me in - another Upstate C5 member, checking into Capital Area. I'm from Guilderland. If you drive the Northway/Western Ave area to/from work, you've seen my car. Well, except snow days.
I cant do facebook here at the office, but I'll check out the BS for the 31st.

I got my baby girl at DePaula, and the salesman was awesome about letting me know this discount existed. He didn't have to. And it really did help get the payments exactly where I wanted them.
